Established in 1908, the Great Southern Golf Club is the oldest golf club in MS. Designed by Don Ross and built by Charles Neiman, Great Southern has hosted Legends of the Game and now you can relive their history! Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, Henry Cotton, Mary Mills, and Mickey Wright have all competed here!

Since the devastation Hurricane Katrina caused to the Great Southern Golf Club, Great Southern have striven to restore the course conditions to that of pre-Katrina. As of now the greens and fairways are in excellent summer condition! Receiently there has been a beautification project that includes planting more than 1200 oak, magnolia, and palm trees in order to replace the many trees lost over the years. In addition to the beautification project, the maintenance staff will be upgrading and improving the irrigation system and the playability of the numerous sand bunkers on the course.
