Throughout it’s eight year history, The Oaks has received numerous awards and accolades including being honored by Golf Digest as one of the “Top Ten Courses” in Mississippi, voted as the “Best Course on the Coast,” by readers of Coast Magazine and selected as the 2003 “Golf Course of the Year for the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” by the National Golf Course Owners Association.
The Oaks has challenged some of the best players in the country as a former host of Nike Tour/Buy.com Tour events in 1999 and 2000 (now the PGA Tour’s Nationwide Series) and having hosted the first stage of the
PGA
Tour
Qualifying
School in 2003.

Partnership with Hooters of Gulfport provides unique
beverage cart attendants for golfing guests
The Oaks Golf Club recently announced a new partnership with Hooters restaurant of Gulfport that provides “Hooters Girls” as staff for The Oaks beverage carts. Clad in their traditional Hooters Girl uniforms, these new beverage cart staff members provide refreshments and snacks for golfing guests at The Oaks.  This new partnership serves as a joint effort to increase the awareness of the Gulf Coast region as a premier golf destination that has recovered from after effects of Hurricane Katrina. The partnership also creates a win-win for both Hooters of Gulfport and The Oaks. The on-course presence of Hooters Girls expands the restaurant’s marketing reach to visiting golfers and also provides additional work shifts and employment opportunities for their servers. At the same time they will create a truly unique and memorable golf and service experience for golfing guests at The Oaks.
